This program has been a great opportunity for me and for the community I live in. For many of us, most of whom are African immigrants, this was our very first introduction to yoga. It has become more than just exercise, it has become a form of healing. Through yoga, we’ve learned how to stretch, breathe, and release some of the emotional and physical trauma that we carry from our past experiences. The instructors are incredibly professional, patient, and compassionate. They create a safe, welcoming space where everyone feels comfortable regardless of their background or skill level. I am deeply grateful for their kindness and encouragement. Participating in this program has strengthened our community’s sense of well being, and I am thankful to share this beautiful experience with such supportive people.
